I have been here several times and have always enjoyed the Flo’s filet. It was cooked just right and very tender. I will definitely be back. The only hit this visit was the steak actually came out to fast. We were just starting our salads and here came the steaks
As far as chain steak restaurants go in Lafayette, Longhorn is my favorite. I have been to Longhorn about half a dozen times and while it is more expensive than Texas Roadhouse, Logan’s or Santa Fe Steakhouse, I find that it is worth the extra price. The steaks I’ve had at Longhorn’s have been consistently of better quality and have been cooked medium rare every time I have ordered them. The side dishes and salads at Longhorn are also of a higher quality than the other local steak places. Service is good, most of these places tend to be hit or miss service wise but there are more hits than misses at Longhorn.

Horrible service. They forgot us outside after being assured they would come get us. So a 20min wait turned into 50min. After finally being seated the waitress waited on everyone else besides us. Food wasn’t as good at other locations If you have some place to be give long horns at least 2hrs
Overpriced greasy food. That says it all.
A bit pricey but my last visit was excellent. I got the filet and lobster. Everything was cooked perfectly. Great job!
Poor cuts of meat. We’ve been going to Longhorn Steakhouse for a couple of years now. Probably at least twice a month. In the past 6 months (aprox.) I’ve noticed that the quality of the steaks has been going down. Last night, my 11oz ribeye was about 3-4oz of inedible fat and gristle! I like the service, the atmosphere (not pretentious, pleasantly appointed), menu selections and the prices. The veggie sides are fresh and well-prepared, bread is hot and fresh, salads are generous and fresh. But steak is why I go to a steakhouse and the quality was poor. I’ll look around for another place to try…or I’ll go to WalMart (yes, they have EXCELLENT steaks) and cook my steak at home.
