Interesting place-Food was good, prices were a little high. Portions were good and menu had good selections. Appears to be a high end place for an older crowd.

Although Mazen has been around for a few years, I just never pulled the trigger. But Ms Naked and I decided one night to walk on the wild side. The inside is not what I expected from view outside. Think overstuffed chairs, heavy wood adornment, and dark. Perfect for our adventure. We asked for a table in a dark corner, well that was no problem. Then we did something we had never done in a restaurant before. We only ordered appetizers no entres!!! Crazy I know, but they looked and sounded so good we had to try it. We ordered the fried softshell crab, an order of kibbies, and panned seared tuna. The crab was crisp, succulent and huge. The oversize kibbies were some of best I have ever had and the tuna was outstanding. All of them was served with unique sauces that were fantastic. Add great service, prices inline with other 5 star competitors, and a smooth house wine gets this place one of my rare 5 star rating. Well done Mazen, well done.

Mazen has a strange atmosphere but the food is nothing short of amazing. It’s a little pricey but you get what you pay for. In terms of value it’s not the best place in Lafayette but it’s always a good spot for a nice dinner.

Definitely Worth It!. Mazen’s consistently meets – and surpasses our dining expectations. While the atmosphere is a bit mediocre, the food is outstanding, as is the service. The Veal Oscar is a particular favorite of mine, as is the tomato and mazerela salad (which can be ordered in a half-size, so as not to over-do). Also, the souffle for dessert can be had as a combination of the Grand-Marnier and the Chocolate, done as a half-and-half souffle, and rich enough (what with their excellent whipped cream) to be shared. Pricey…but always worth the money.

Our new favorite place. We live in north Louisiana and travel to Lafayette on business several times a year. We found Mazens earlier this year and it is the first place we want to go in Lafayette. The food is amazing. Always the freshest fish, perfectly prepared and the toppings and sauces are to die for. Crab Crepes are full of delicious lump crab sauce with creamy white sauce. Delicious! Soft shell crabs are the best I’ve eaten. Veal is wonderful. Can’t say enough! Go there and enjoy.

Good Food and Service. Met some friends for dinner at Mazen’s Sat night. The food was good, just good not great. The place was great to meet for dinner as the service was attentive but not disruptive where we could not have a conversation and catch up with old college friends. I found the food to be good but a little pricey. My wife enjoyed her selection of beef medallions topped with crab meat. I had grouper with crabmeat topping. Good food but nothing spectacular!

Hands down the finest dining experience in Lafayette! And that is a tall order given the quality of our cuisine! We have eaten here about a half dozen times, trying new entrees each time, and have yet to be anything but impressed. Yes, it is pricey. Yes, it is so worth it!
