Absolutely loved this place! Loved the ambiance! Food was amazing! Service was spot on. The staff were very knowledgeable about the food and drinks. The duck fat fries are a must! The manchego and arugula salad was phenomenal. Also had the charcuterie board, mushrooms and lamb sliders. Loved it all! Will definitely be back!
Favorite restaurant in town! The best old fashioned around. As a fan of Spanish wine, you’re not going to find a better selection at a restaurant in town. The servers know the product and are happy to help make your dining experience extraordinary. I haven’t even mentioned the food yet. Do yourself a favor and pre order one of the paellas. Bring lots of friends, because it’s going to be hard to decide. Favorites on the menu are lamb sliders, calamari, and pork belly. If you aren’t in the tapas mood, their entrees are still top notch.
This is probably my favorite place in Lafayette. I love the food, I love the people here, I love the decor, the building, the street, the parking lot across the street and what not. This list could go on forever. I proposed to my wife here, so you can understand how special this place is to me. Coming down to food, the duck fat fries are to die for. I mean literally. I’ve had days when I went there just to have the DFF. We’ve probably had all of the drinks they concoct, and it just has a way very different from other bars. The chef’s specials are amazing each time as well. We generally order off of the chef’s special.Overall, it’s a place you must must must visit!Cheers!
Large reservation handled perfectly. I really cannot recommend this restaurant enough! We wanted to throw a surprise baby shower here on Saturday night at 7:00. The service by the staff from the hostess (Amber) to the waiter (Jace) was impeccable. Handling a reservation of 16 by himself, Jace kept our water glasses full and the food and drinks flowing. The restaurant called to confirm the reservation twice, offered an extra table for gifts, and had our table ready when we arrived. Really… I already loved the food at this place but now I love the service and cannot recommend Pamplona enough! (and I’m cross posting this on several restaurant sites because I loved it so much!)
Character and Yum Factor. Decided on tapas and the favs so far are: calamari, Gulf shrimp. buttery/sherry drenched mushrooms, and olives. If you want a break from McFood and stupid chains with the same appetizers this is the spot. I was with someone who lived in Spain for ten years and said Pamplona reminded him of those days. And the $3 house wine (during happy hour) is solid! Will definitely be back. I just moved here and it’s so great to see local restaurants downtown. I’ll be back.
We made a quick stop in Lafayette and picked this place based on the reviews here. We were not disappointed. Kids had smoked Gouda Mac & cheeses and the adults couldn’t have enough of it. We also tried and highly recommend the 8oz steak, the duck breast, garlic mushroom, cerviche (it was ok) and the beets salad. We also tried the peach and pear ice cream, as well as the baclava with rose petals ice cream. Extremely satisfied, we will definitely return.
Fantastic date night spot. The food is amazing, the Gouda Mac and cheese and the meatballs are out of this world. It is tapas style which means the food is brought out when it’s ready which can throw some people off but don’t let it. It’s a great place to be able to sit, relax, chat and eat. Very relaxed European style atmosphere.
