Amazing donuts, Kolaches, king cakes, fried boudin & boudin roll ups. I am so happy they allow you to order king cakes all year long. You just need to call a day ahead of when you need it. They have amazing hot glazed donuts till 10am daily.
The glazed donuts are heavy & bland. I asked for bear claws & when I got home found apple fritters. Will never go there again as I was lied to when asked for bear claws and was given apple fritters!!
I will start off by saying that I’ve never really been a huge Meche’s fan, I have always found their donuts too sweet with everything covered in their sugary glaze. However, they have seemed to make some modifications in the last few years that have made me like them a bit more. They have a larger selection and some of their cake donuts don’t have the glaze on them. Give me a chocolate covered chocolate cake donut and I am in heaven! Also, they have kolaches that are pretty great. Their boudin kolache is fantastic as is their new chicken kolache and of course they have a really good sausage and cheese kolache with or without jalapenos. The employees at this location are quite a bit friendlier than at other locations so that is a plus.
