  Delicious brunch and regular menu. I love the flatbreads. Definitely one of the places in Lafayette where all of the employees enjoy working there, and you can taste it in the food, and experience it in the service. Don’t let the kimchi burger scare you, it’s one of the best burgers in town.

  Don’t hate it, but for some reason I can’t say I loved it either. First and foremost, know what your getting into before trying Social Southern. This is a hipster kinda place. You may recognize the music being played, but the song will be some obscure cut from a long lost album. You just want water, but you will be served from repurposed liquor bottle. And there will be no ice in your glass. That’s the hip way to serve water apparently. It’s not stuffy and pretentious, but you will fell lot of place in jeans and a work shirt. But, I am off topic. Ordered the smoked, fried chicken with sweet potato biscuits. The combination of smoked chicken, then fried and drizzled with honey, was a little too much for my tastebuds. Then the batter would not stick to the chicken itself. The biscuit had a nice taste, but wasn’t light and fluffy like a biscuit should be. Overall I think this simply isn’t my kind of place. Food was good enough, staff was friendly. Just a little to hip.

  This is one of my favorite places in town. Excellent food, good drinks and a great atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and the bartenders always remember what I like. The fish special is usually one of the best things on the menu.

  Atmosphere is cool and relaxed. Food is a little pricey for an average customer, but it is quite tasty. I ordered the hot hot chicken and waffles and the shrimp and grits. Both were very tasty and seasoned well. My brother had the chicken fried steak which is a filet fried with gravy and mashed potatoes, highly recommend. The service is awesome, got served within 25 mins of arriving. Sunday brunch is a great time to go

  Nice atmosphere. Neat bar. Good selection of beer. Interesting menu. Good brunch on Sunday’s. But in my experience, the food looks a lot better than it actually tastes.

  I have been wanting to visit this place for a long time and finally had my chance! The decor and style of the place is quite different for the Lafayette area. Very nice and clean with a very attentive wait staff. The food menu is varied from burgers to beef cheek, to smoked fried chicken. I had the smoked fried chicken, you get a half of a chicken cut into individual pieces and smoked, then battered and fried. It’s a very nice combination that I have never experience nor heard of before. They did it perfectly. The chicken had a nice smoky flavor and was still very juicy. It was well covered in a thin, super crispy coating and was placed over two biscuits and drizzled with ghost pepper infused honey. All I left were bones in the plate. So good and filling. I can’t wait to try another dish here.

  The fried green tomatoes were delicious! The mushroom soup was best I have had. You must try the smoked fried chicken and biscuits. Loved the atmosphere..fun, lively, cool decor. Brittany our waitress did an outstanding job and we loved the bartender (curly hair and glasses). Bartender was very attentive and friendly. Must try this place and make sure you make a reservation.. It’s busy.
