I particularly like the bread used for the hamburgers and the po-boys. My favorites: the grilled shrimp po-boy and the hamburger. To me, the downside is the physical facility rather than the food. Just seems kind of old, cramped, a bit junky.
I had the pleasure of being given a birthday cake from Southside. I will confess I have never been to the place. I had read about all the family fighting that played out in the news betweenSouthside snd Twins and thought it was sad. And this new Southside location is just out of the way for me. But as for a German Chocolate Cake this one was top notch. The icing – well I could just eat a bowl of the icing it was very good. The cake was probably to dense for some but I really enjoyed it.
