Amazing food! I love the jambalaya and I’m not even a big fan of the food. The portions are huge, but not a fan of ettouffe. Highly recommend this place for a quick dinner or lunch plate.

This place is delicious! Good gumbo, good beans, good jambalaya! Even the little salad is good! It is real Cajun cooked food. Not some northerner trying to cook Cajun food.

Renovated the interior of this building. It’s really clean, nice, updated. Wood floors. Nice, clean, airy feel about the place. Monday lunch special was red beans & rice with sausage. Side of corn or green beans. I had the corn, which had a little spice and was very good. Red beans & sausage was good once I added hot sauce. Not a bad place if you’re looking for the type food they serve – jambalaya, red beans, gumbo, etc.

A place that main meal is jambalaya – and just one kind of jambalaya – who would have thought.I thought the portion size was very generous and very meaty. A friend had went the week before and complained of the opposite. The mayo based potato salad was good but the small green salad was all ice berg lettuce – there are only 2 choices for dressing. The gumbo had a nice flavor but I found a little thick. But the star of the show and why you go – the jambalaya, I thought was very good and seasoned well. I would go again no doubt

We rarely try restaurants on opening nights, but we stumbled here on the first night. First off, this is a family owned chain out of the Baton Rouge area and this one is the first franchise not owned by family or friends. They made it very clear that they had to go by specific ingredients to follow the menu from the franchise. With that being said, the food is really delicious and more than enough to fill a person for not much money. They let us sample anything before ordering which was very nice. The jambalaya itself was ehhh…it’s nothing to jump overboard for, and they only serve a chicken and sausage jambalaya now. I really hope they bring in more variations maybe like a pork & sausage, or maybe a seafood jambalaya. But the pastalaya (which is pasta cooked with the chicken and sausage in a gravy) was pretty amazing! Very flavorful! The also have sides, as in red beans, white beans, green beans, potato salad, and corn. Someone said it was odd that they serve food in plastic plates & bowls, but we didn’t mind. They also serve gumbo, but they only had chicken and sausage that night, which was ok…not really seasoned, and seafood which they didn’t have then. Overall, we will return and check them out again. Staff was nice and one of the owners was very nice in answering any questions we had.
