Birthday Dinner Gone Wrong. The server was friendly and did as good of a job as he could but the hibachi cook just did not seem to know what he was doing. The egg shell he meant to toss into his hat flew into our table and the raw egg splashed over our plates and sauces. he was enthusiastic and so nice but the food was not fresh…the filet had a strange flavor. Every member of our party went home ill. I hate to give bad reviews but it was simply that bad of a quality of food. Service=fantastic Food=Sickening
Best sushi hibachi place in town!. My favorite sushi place in town because its always fresh and the workers are so friendly and quick. The tsubaki tuna and the baked salmon roll are always awesome!! I can eat lunch there for cheap too with the specials which is a big plus!
The sushi is good and it’s a good price but the service is lacking. The first time I went and ordered to go sushi and it took 45 minutes but it was really busy and therefore understandable. The second time I went there the restaurant was almost empty. I ordered my to go sushi and it took 30 min from the time my check was printed to the time my sushi came out. I ordered one spicy tuna roll which I know is easy to make (I have spent 6 yrs working at a very busy sushi restaurant in the past.) What really got me is that I was not offered anything to drink the entire time I sat at the bar and the woman who took my ordered disappeared right away and I didn’t see her in the front of the restaurant again. I would have ordered a glass of wine if anyone actually waited on me because that’s what I intended to do. To bad I guess.
Mr.. The food was absolutely fantastic. the service just as good. my only complaint was the price for the food received. i had the shrimp and scalop from the grill. like i said it was great but not worth $29.00 for four shrimp and four scallops.
HORRIBLE food at the hibachi grill!! The food (from the water/broth to the mayonnaise salad dressing to the fried rice and steak) had no seasoning/no taste at all. And when even though I order my steak medium rare, I’d still like it cooked on both sides. Next time I’ll make the drive to Baton Rouge and eat at ichiban
DOWN GRADE.. Whatever happened to the old Tsubaki? Its been awhile since I’ve gone to this place, so I decided to go for my birthday. MISTAKE. I had ordered the baked salmon roll, and it was horrible. The roll was so over baked that the salmon and rice was both dark brown, the salmon and rice was so hard, I couldn’t even eat it. What made the experience even worse was that there was only one waitress. and she took forever with our orders but when we asked for the check, she was quick to grab it for us and didn’t even thank us, dropped the check on the table and left.Awful Food. Bad Service. Total Disappointment. I don’t think I’ll ever return.
Has the most fresh tasty sushi around. The service was great and prompt.
