Best in Lake Charles, possibly Louisiana. You really have to experience this place to understand. It’s so different than anything else Lake Charles has to offer. The food is always fantastic, seasonal, and a joy to eat. Their liquor selection is incredible. If you like bourbon like I do, you should treat yourself to some garrison brothers.The service is excellent. Everyone is friendly and courteous and willing to go the extra mile.Calla truly is a gem of Lake Charles. We are so lucky to have this establishment in our city.
Restaurant Calla. If you’re a foodie like me, you’ll love this new addition to Lake Charles. Calla is a delightful dining experience. They call themselves a gastrobrewery so you can enjoy your favorite drink while you dine. The menu has small plates and large plates to fit any appetite. We started with the oysters and then the chef brought us some salmon creviche to try. Awesome! I had the duck, crispy and succulent. Every bite was a fiesta in my mouth. I will definitely be a return visitor, soon to be regular at this place.
Great Dining and Service!. We try to get to Calla as often as possible and have always enjoyed our service and the ever-changing menu options. This last trip was our favorite by far. Alex and Jason at the bar served up the perfect amount of conversation and privacy for the evening. Jason’s knowledge of local liquors and overall passion to create exceptional drinks makes it a fun place to dine as well as partake in the libations. If you haven’t been we recommend a weeknight if possible. ENJOY!
Great Dining Experience. I had a terrific experience here. Bartender made a cocktail with gin that was similar to a sazerac. Petit filet with marrow butter and a bernaise sauce. Nice! One of the best dining experiences I have had in a while.It’s a little hard to locate because they do not seem to have any signage. It’s upstairs in a brick building in a new real estate development.
Can’t believe this is in Lake Charles. This place is fantastic! Great creative menu items, awesome craft cocktails, great atmosphere and cool vibe make this hands down the areas best restaurant (by far).
