If you go, bring an appetite. On the monthly date night with the spousal unit (i.e. wife) and she picks Chastain’s. We were quickly seated and I ordered the California grilled cheese special and she orders a crawfish entre. While waiting for our meal, we notice the huge portions of food served to other patrons. My grilled cheese was fun to eat, due to that the unique Californian ingredient called avocado. Sided with a tasty and sweet onion soup, it was all so good.
Gave it 2 tries!. 1st time we ordered Oysters Bienville, not good at all! They were nothing like I’ve had other places, they were covered in cheap cheese and had zero flavor. 2nd time the place was steaming hot, I tried to order a few different beers from the menu which they were out of then went to order my entre and they were out of that too. They were out of whatever my friend tried to order as well. Not impressed! Food was enh….
