When you walk in the smell of the boudin hits you like a fist of Cajun love and magic. The shrimp boudin, hands down, is the best I’ve ever had, it has a very generous amount of shrimp in it and almost tastes like a mild shrimp corn bread. Plate lunches sell out fast get there early.

Best Steak and Gravy in Lake Charles. The plate lunches, especially the steak and gravy are the best, most authentic local fare you can get. Be sure to come hungry, as the portions are huge and you defintiely get your money’s worth. Also, the fresh meats and boudin are some of the best in the area.
By far the best plate lunch in town! If you have never eaten real Cajun home cooked food you have to try it!
