Great Food!. Not every sushi place serves things the same way. That being said I have found that Ichibans is the best place in the Lake Charles area for sushi. Yes, it’s in the mall food court. Yes, it is not a fancy sit-in restaurant and their food is served on disposable plates. But the food is awesome, freshly prepared to order, the people are very courteous, and the prices are great. Any one person that spends more than $20 on an entire meal either needs to plan on getting a to go box or they can eat enough for several people. My bill for 2 rolls and a soda usually comes to around $15.If you don’t like eating in a food court don’t bother. A negative attitude is going to give you a negative impression no matter how the food is.
Mr. Gaspard. My daughter eat here all the time and I can report that the spicy sushi rolls are my favorite. We try to eat here at least every two months. The cost are about average for what you would pay otherwise. In my opinion I would recommend this place to anyone. Not the best of atmosphere because you are in the mall, but we like watching people so its no big deal.
Over priced!. I was disappointed with the amount of shrimp , eggs were like chopped not scrambled . Mostly rice and what seemed like frozen peas and carrots. All for $9.80 with out a drink!!! Not impressed!
I’m a huge fan of Sarku Japan, I thought it would be similar. Had the chicken hibachi, it was not good. The sauce tasted like it was store bought, and the fried rice had peas and carrots (like the kind you find in the bag in the frozen section at the supermarket) instead of the normal veggies you would see in hibachi. Also not sure why it came with a piece of potato.
I go here as often as I can. The food is awesome and the employees are friendly! My favorite is the Marilyn Monroe. Don’t listen to the bad reviews. This place is worth it!
By far the best sushi! The chefs and owners are incredibly nice. All of the fried rolls are absolutely amazing. You won’t be disappointed!
Best sushi in lc. You have to try deep fried sushi if you’re in here. The LA crunch is some wonderful stuff.
