Sides are horrible, app was horrible, Red Snapper was good. I couldn’t wait till Vic&Anthonys opened for the evening, so I went to Landry’s. I had a feeling this place would be a letdown in a city full of established seafood restaurants. I forget the name of the shrimp stuffed jalepenos, but they were pretty blah. Just big ole fryballs of heavy batter and little taste. The sidedishs at this place are a complete joke; I went with the corn, it was meh.The one bright spot was the fish. It is HELLA EXPENSIVE- the red snapper was like $30 or something, but it was fantastic with real snapper deep flavor. The one thing SouthWest LA seafood restaurants don’t give us a lot of is deep sea fish. And Landry’s has that in spades. All the fish you’d like. Does this one thing make Landry’s worth it for the average visitor? Nope. The waitress was excellent, very attentive.
