U know who i am lol. Well i think this is the best place to go i have worked there for a while , on and off sometimes u cant please anyone,
Long time consumer. I’ve been eating there for 20 yrs. The food has changed but so has everywhere else. Wish they delivered.
Easily the best.. This is likely the best Chinese restaurant between Houston and New Orleans, and it’s easily the best in Lake Charles. The complaints I hear from people who go there is they don’t know what the menu items are (lack of descriptions), and the service can sometimes be less than impressive. The food, arguably the most important part of the experience, is always excellent. Some recommendations in order of my preference: 1) House Chicken 2) John Polk Shrimp 3) Shrimp in Spicy Sauce 4) Volcano Shrimp 5) Hunan Beef. Definitely get an egg roll as an appetizer when you’re there, because they are fantastic. I prefer them with the horseradish mustard. The House Fruit Punch makes a pretty fantastic after-supper treat.
Still good if you know what they do best. They are best at Egg Rolls app. I also love their Hot and Sour soup. My favorite is the Beef Imperial.Good rib eye meat with great sauce.Try this and it will be the Peking you remember.
Will never return. Used to be one of my favorites. Bad service. Food was terrible. Prices were too high for the quality of food. Even the hot tea was lukewarm. Then went out to the parking lot to leave and had a panhandler asking for money for food. Thank God I wasn’t alone. Will not return!
CONFUSED. My family and friends have been long time customers at Peking! Food, drinks and prices are a thumbs up. However, one server in particular is very unprofessional- her phone rang constantly ( to rap music) every time she approached our table. She apologized several times, to then, try and explain that her children keep calling because they have been in several fights with the neighbors. She proceeds to ask my children personal questions which had no relevance to her or the restaurant. I don’t have the heart to tell the long time owners that this is horrible service. We will continue to dine in occasionally, but if we ever have to get Kim again, we will sadly decline and leave. BTW, the Mai Tai’s are delish.
Hot and sour soup is by far the best in the country except for tonight. I called tonight just to let them know and the American girl on the phone just blew me off! She obviously doesn’t care about the business! I know mr. J would want to know, since he always puts out the highest quality of food!
