Wish I lived here. Just visiting the area from Texas and was craving catfish. I have eaten catfish over 50 years, all across Texas and the south. This place cooks the very best I have ever eaten . The batter is absolutely amazing, crisp and tasty, the fish was flaky and light and cooked to perfection. It has only a hint of spiciness, which is great for me. Everyone there was raving over their food which included Spicy boiled crab and crawfish. Louisiana rolls are also favorite. If I lived here I would certainly be a regular fan!
Shrimp pistolletes were great! Just passing through, but will definely stop again.
It didn’t look like much from the outside but, Don’t judge a restaurant by the outside. Hubby ordered the Captain platter and I got the smaller platter. We could have shared, but it was so good that we didn’t. Definitely a place to stop for seafood in Lake Charles, La.
Steamboat Bill’s is a permanent stop when visiting Lake Charles. Fresh, spicy and delicious every time! My favorite is the boiled shrimp and chicken/ sausage gumbo. The fried seafood is also very good. Love this place!
