Thought i was on a reality show. Literally worst family dinner ever.. My sister in law used Google and this star rating to make a reservation from Kentucky at this bar and pizza shop for her daughters graduation party from LSU. I highly recommend you don’t do that. There were 24 in our party. We had reservations for 7:30. 18 of us showed before and the remaining 6 showed up at 7:50. We ordered at 8-8:10. The most of the food did not show up till 9:30 and my brother in laws dish did not show up at all. I was explaining to the waitress that we were not satisfied with the wait on the food and the owner approached us extremely inebriated. He proceeded to tell me that it was our fault and there was nothing wrong with the amount of time it took to get or not get meals. The owners future son in law stepped in , very politely and some what embarrassed and they took the owner back to the bar with his friends. As he was walking away he exclaims F### these people. At this point the 9 children under 12 were sent to the vehicles with their mothers. My father in law escorted my brother in law out , who never did get his meal to the door because he was going to talk to the owner in a not so nice way. I proceeded to ask the owners son in law to bring the checks and boxes. He advised he would take the plate my brother in law never received off the bill. When her bill came it had the meal on it still so she went to the kitchen area doors where the card machine was to straighten out her bill and pay. I was waiting for her by the table which was some 30 feet from the bar and the owner and his friends advised me if I was a man I would come over there. It started to get then he said I was an as##### in front of all his patrons. I advised him he did not know me well enough to make a statement like that and I was just waiting for my sister to cash out. He then proceeded to approach me and call me and As##### again. After proding from his friends at the bar I might add. At this time my sister in laws card was given to her she grabbed me by the arm and took me away. The wait staff did their best trying to make excuses for the man however I can only tell you we dine out 3 to 4 times a week and this was the most miserable experience I and all in our party have ever had. This man should go to AA or some sort of rehab. If he cannot stay sober long enough to run his business and deal with people in a professional manner then he should hang a sign on the door and advertise I am a belligerent drunk and I will treat you any way I see fit because this is my place. I am still in awe that this happened last night at such a once in a lifetime occasion.
Great food.Great fun.. This is our favorite place to go as a family. The food is consistently great and the staff is super friendly and hard working! Especially Chris. For us, the live music is a great bonus because one of our 3 children is Autistic. You wouldn’t think he would like a loud place but he feels very comfortable there, in my opinion, because of the welcoming staff. He and my other two kids are able to get up and dance when they FEEL the need to and they’re not frowned upon for doing so. It really is a wonderfully comfortable place to have a nice meal, almost like you’re family. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor. You won’t be sorry, you’ll be a regular!
I don’t think it’s open anymore. I drove by two times on different days and it was not open.
Yummy pizza. I cannot stress enough how good their spinach pizza is. best I’ve ever had. place is kinda dark and outdated tho. live music is nice but oh that spinach pizza is the bomb.
THE GOOD AND THE BAD. First visit here and here’s what I got:Service: VERY GOOD. The server was polite, and when I asked for suggestions she was helpful (I did not like what I got, so maybe I SHOULD have taken her suggestion!). She was prompt and the service was fast. No complaints. Food: I was excited by the menu, but the chicken parm sandwich I ordered was plain bad. I ordered a large and after a few bites I abandoned it. The chicken had what seemed like LARGE chunks of fat in it (does a chicken even HAVE fat?). I could not eat it, and I am NOT a picky eater. In addition to the chicken sandwich, they gave me a sample of two garlic knots. They were doughy and not too good either. I believe this is a dish they are developing, so if they can get it right I’m sure it will be fine.Ill go back and visit this place again, as it seemed to be ran well enough, but maybe I just had one bad experience.
We came with a large group and the staff was very accomodating and friendly. The food and the atmosphere were very good!
Awsome. The best pizza I’ve tasted in the south. Not to mention the lasagne and the Italian salad. Really I could keep going. You could close your eyes and just drop your finger on any part of the menu and you won’t go wrong. Plus, the experience was great everytime. It’s one big family!
