One of my favorites, never disappoints! Quality ingredients, friendly service. Serious soups. Was amazed to find the authentic French decor at this location, right down to the replica louvre. Previously had only been to the original one on the Eiffel tower.
P.R.. … although i like the food and atmosphere there, the service is a hit or miss…. I called tonight to ask about the King Cake … the so called manager cut the phone conversation 3 times because she couldn’t understand me… so another manager called back to cover her associate but no excuse offered…. Thanks God we have other charming places in Mandeville, where my business is well received. I remember the Madeleine in St Charles was so bad …. finally the management came and fixed it it was better after that. I am a customer for over 10 years, to all locations in Louisiana but this is finished no more condescending employees for me, i do not need the Madeleine in my life.

Great for Lunch or Dinner. We eat a lot of different things here and it is all delicious. If you are just ordering soup branch out. Try the chicken Cesar sandwich or salad. You can also try the quiche or chicken friand. Need I go on? Ok How about the thanksgiving sampler Yum. Or a half sandwich and soup if you are normally only ordering soup. Yes the soup is awesome try the potato its the best! So get your tastebuds ready get risky and try something new! My kids Love the food here too They normally get a sandwich and salad or soup or the chicken La Madeleine.La Madeleine its all good. Nice try plugging that Cafe’ Rani that place is so drab! Its so crowded and not very good. I had a shrimp quesadilla there and the shrimp looked rotten so don’t waste your time at that boring, drab, gross place! The atmosphere at La Madeleine is nice too, especially when the fire place is going! Bring a book, iPad, nook or laptop and hang out. My kids like doing homework here after we eat. It’s relaxing yummy and warm and the food is awesome! You can even get a free cup of soup or salad when you join the e-mail club for menu updates and specials. Everything is good at La Madeline’s. Yes employees can be slow anywhere but don’t rush Relax and have a good meal. Who cares if the line is out the door. That should tell you its a great place to eat because everybody is waiting to get in. Not like at cafe’ rani where people go in for a tiny salad and just take up space because the menu is horrible!
Slow, slow, slow. We decided to treat outselves to lunch at La Madeline and what a disappointment. The woman behind the counter was so slow and disorganized that just moving from the spot where you place your order to receiving our cups of soups was over 8 minutes…and there was no one in front of us in line. It was her. She went to the back, came back with nothing, asked what we wanted to drink, we said water, no response, then we reminded her about the soup, she went o the back….it was just down right strange. By this time the line behind us was out the door, so finally someone came to take over her station. The food was good, but the experience made me rethink a gift card purchase, went to Coffee Rani instead.
Fast faux french.. You get what you pay for. this is a gussied up cafeteria. it aint bad though. good iced tea, good breakfast and salads. bakery stuff is allright.
