WAY TOO OVER PRICED! Yes, some of their rolls are very good but they are way too over priced. I asked for an Erica Bowl and the bowl came out with an extreme amount of rice and only 6 teeny tiny pieces of fish about the size of a dime. I asked the waiter the cost of the Erica Bowl and he said $10.95! I can get an Erica Bowl at Little Tokyo or Yujin for $7 with triple the amount of fish! I also asked how much their salmon sashimi plate was and the waiter said $15.95 for 8 pieces. The price of this at Little Tokyo, Yujin or Tchoupstix is $10.95 and you get 10-12 thick slices! I think Megumi is much too over priced and much too over rated! You can get just as good sushi for a fraction of the cost at every other sushi joint around town.

Beautiful presentation!. I don’t care for the atmosphere, but the food is very good. Service was good.

Best sushi in Mandeville/Covington area. The service and food are consistently wonderful. We always order appetizers, sushi, and non-sushi dishes and have never been disappointed in anything we’ve had here. The Bang Bang Shrimp Roll is one of the best rolls I’ve ever had. Love love this place and am always so happy I’ve paid it a visit.

This was the best Japanese place we’ve found so far in La after 4 or 5 failed attempts (we live in slidell). it does have quite a few traditional Japanese dishes although I didn’t see any Japanese there. Still they do a fairly good job of sticking with traditional taste and presentation. Our waiter didn’t understand English too well so we ended up getting a few free appetizers and drinks on accident , he did a good job other than that so I’d ask for the little guy again lol. I live yaki soba and here I ask them to put tofu and mushrooms which they did but they forgot the other vegetables (back to the english understanding thing) overall it was still good, it was a little oily but not bad. We had the spicy tuna rolls they were good but meat was a little mushy. I loved their tofu steak and the vegetables with it, nice sauce it’s in. The shiitake bacon was good and the asparagus with bacon was almost as good. The green tea ice cream was very good. My wife was just glad to find something that at least resembled real Japanese food again so this place was a very good for La.
