A great choice for a date night. Friendly staff, quiet atmosphere, and elaborate menu. The wine list was also a plus! Ordered the mussels and clams to begin and it did not disappoint. My husband loved his pork chops and my veal was equally as delightful.
Husband and I went 2 weeks ago on a Saturday night with no reservations… they were packed but sat us at the bar promptly and we decided to just eat at the bar instead of waiting. The restaurant and bar area have a great vibe – low lighting-romantic with a beautiful hand carved wood bar. The food was delicious and they definitely know how to make a great martini. The bread is phenomenal too! The staff was friendly and professional EXCEPT for one. I would give a 5.0 rating if it weren’t for the older male bartender. Although he was fairly pleasant enough with us – obviously stressed/ tense, but ok. NOT the same for his treatment of EVERY SINGLE COWORKER that came to service bar area to pick up drinks. He yelled, cursed, slammed glassware and cash register drawer, etc. WOW. The employees were cringing with embarrassment– one of them even yelled back F…You after several run in’s with the nasty bartender. Can’t say that I blame him. It made for a tense experience for all of the patrons/ employees. There was an older female bartender working with him behind bar who was awesome —she handled him with poise and tried her hardest to maintain professionalism behind the bar (against all odds). Will I go back? Yes. Aside from the male bartender, everything else was on point. But if I have another experience like the other night … it will be my last.P.S. I wanted to get better pictures of pretty bar area but was afraid to set the bartender into another rage… maybe next time.
