I’m sad…. My family ate here tonight and it was a little sad. I’d like to start by saying service was exceptional. Our server was on her game. Food just was not good for me. I got the queso with chirizo…. it was more like queso with chewed bits of meat with no flavor. And I got crawfish pepper jack soup that was ok but barely had any seasoning as well. Everyone else in my party got chicken and it looked pretty good but unfortunately my food wasnt. I guess I should have gotten a burger.
LOUD! Burger are OK, not great.. If you like TVs on EVERY wall, and LOUD games and TV commercials blasted over you while you try to eat or worse yet actually try to TALK, then you will love this restaurant. This is your cup of tea. Grab a beer and yell at each other across the table while all the TV blasts the room. And BTW, the burgers are OK, certainly not great. The meat is NOT tender, melt in your mouth like one would think reading these reviews. They put a fat burger (that you can hardly bite) on a bun with some lettuce and a tomato and that is it. Whoopi.
Consistany under cooked burger. We have been eating here approximately 20 years, since they were just a little hole in the wall burger joint. And we always told people they had the best burgers in town. Not anymore. For the past several years I have gotten raw burgers both in the restaurant and for take out. Approximately 10 times…I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Hamburgers are one of the easiest things to cook correctly. Not gonna bother with this place anymore when I can get a perfect burger at The Rusty Pelican or The Triple Nickel Grill.( I have never gotten an undercooked burger at either of these places).
Not good, at least the burgers. Dry tasteless. Had in Baton Rouge and mandeville, both not good. Five guy or bears better choice.
The worst service!. My friend and I have been coming to Times in Mandeville for several years and tonight was by far the worst ever! We came in to the bar area for a few beers and something to eat and it was bad. Service was super slow and bad. We finally had to ask for a menu after 2 hours of poor drink service. The food time was average for an appitazer. There was a drunk guy at the bar that the bar tender said was some drunk that comes in every couple of weeks and doesn’t time but pisses everyone off. Then after he left another drunk bum from out of town kept harassing me and my local friend. I made a statement to the bar tender about having law enforcement drive by and ask the guy to leave and an server that was off of her shift and pissed off at the world started harassing me about making the comment. I was very offended by this and will never give Times Grill in Mandeville my business again even though I have been going there for more than 7 years.
Great bar/grill…. Something for everyone, laid back atmosphere, good food, great servers. Families can come here and relax, kids being a little rowdy is okay, as there is room to move around a bit!
Red beans and rice. I ordered the red beans and rice on Monday and when I got back to work and opened it up I really thought someone was pulling a prank on me.. The amount of rice was equal to about 2 teaspoons full,, no I’m not joking. The beans were Blue Runner straight out the can.. only good thing was the sausage. Terrible.. never again..I know they make other thing that are great,, just don’t order the beans.
