Ate there two weeks ago. Disappointing. Service was terrible. Table was not clean. Nice decor (need to dust; attention to details), BUT The food is better at other Asian take out joints.
Local or foreign import seafood?. For more years than I care to admit this was number one Chinese and often an upscale experience on the Northshore. It’s now way down on the list, not even a dinner choice anymore. I pop in for lunch every now an then if it’s convenient, not worth going out of the way anymore. Seafood quality has changed, shrimp has an unusual antiseptic taste now so I pass on them. Does not taste like Louisiana product. What a shame-I have fond memories that they no longer live up to–has a second generation taken control and dropped the ball?
Enjoyable lunches. We normally have lunch at Trey Yuen. It is convenient and the lunch menu has a nice variety. Mary is our favorite waitress and always does a great job. We have made our way through most of the lunch menu as well as the specials. Good food, generous portions and such nice ambiance!!
Terrible Service. Service sucks… waited 20 minutes for a waiter to even ask us what we wanted to drink.. and he messed up almost every order… food was okay.
HORRIBLE!!. Quite possibly the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. I’ve honestly had better food at a buffet. We ordered the mandarin chicken and honey glazed pecan chicken. Both tasted like the chicken was cooked yesterday and the cook just warmed the sauce and poured over the top. The house special fried rice was very bland and the rice tasted well, like it was cooked yesterday! The whole menu is a la cart and the prices were high compared to other restaurants in the area. I don’t mind paying for quality, but it just wasn’t there. Our first and last time at Trey Yuen!
Went here recently and tried the steak special which is not on the menu it is so good! It is a must try! The waitress said you can order it anytime even though it is not on the menu. We also had choo choo chicken which was good too! We will be back!
I went to eat there tonight and had 8 women with me my food was cold and I ask for a new plate The owner came out told in a very rude manner that there was no way it could have been cold because he cooked it fresh for me I will never come back here again and would not recommend any one else coming here either
