Finding this little gem of a restaurant tucked next to a convenience store made my day. The banh mi were not the usual fare you’d find at a Vietnamese restaurant. The Cajun Crack fries were as addictive as crack.

I visited this restaurant based on Yelp reviews and found it to be staffed by pleasant and helpful staff. The restaurant itself is clean and modern efficient. Outdoors they have an inviting dining area and that is where I chose to eat- not too much of a view, but it is outdoors at least. I had the grilled shrimp salad along with salmon spring rolls accompanied by peanut sauce. Both were good, but neither blew me away. I spent $8 on the salad and $6 on the two spring rolls. All in all I liked every aspect of this small restaurant and recommend it.

Just the smells you encounter as you approach Banh Mi Boys, will have you salivating before you can even hit the counter. The only bad part of my visit was deciding what to order. Upon the recommendation of the young lady working the counter, I went with the pork belly, and added an egg. Next visit will definitely be the Bang Bang shrimp. The pork belly was amazing- a piece of heaven on a roll. The egg was perfect as the yolk spilled out onto the pork. I ordered the crack fries, but as a warning, dont do this if youre dining alone. I barely put a dent in the fries. Considering they are the same price as a sandwich Im not sure they are meant to a side item. But they were tasty! Cant say enough good things about my meal and the service. Awesome job, boys!

It’s rare that I give many 5’s out. But the Banh Mi Boys (no relation to the Canadian chain) really nail for what they do. Take the fact that they’re located at a Texaco gas station as a sign that they understand Southern Culture. And they know their Banh MI’s will compete with the handful of Cajun Po-Boy shops nearby. In fact, it’s basically the same thing!?!The baguettes and meats in their sandwiches were literally on point. The pork spring rolls were full of meat veggies. No skimping here. And their Vietnamese iced coffee was flat out amazing!I want to just give them a 4. But I cannot find a reason why!?!
