My experience has only been very positive. I have eaten here about a dozen times. Food was always A-plus. The owner has put a little tasty twist on old favorites. You can’t find better cooked oysters in New Orleans, fried or the many alternatives. And, I don’t think you can find better food at this price in the New Orleans area, I go there whenever it is convenient.
Would not count this place out. My date and I didn’t care for either one of our entrees, and the service was sub par. But I would like to give this place the benefit of the doubt and give it another try. We just won’t be ordering the pasta ya-ya or veal parm next time. Classic charbroiled oysters were delicious… I could have just had another half dozen of those
Great authentic creole cuisine. Service from the wait staff was awesome. The food was a great portion for a small price. The setting of the restaurant gives a southern country feel. My only negative feedback is to hire more servers during lunch hours. There were only 2 servers working the entire floor. But overall a great place for New Orleans Cuisine.
I am very satisfied with this restaurant and would definitely return. We plan to eat there tonight. Oysters Souras (sorry about the spelling) DELICIOUS!!! Place iscozy and staff are very friendly Love when thechef stops at the table to chats
Stopped in for half a poboy and a cup of seafood gumbo last weekend. Found the place was busy and we ended up seated at a bar table. Not my first choice, but turns out this was a good thing. Was served by super friendly bartender Will who sold us on trying an appetizer which was fried oysters on top of melted Brie and applewood bacon with French bread for mopping up the cheese — which we did. So good! We really enjoyed our evening – the food, the service and even the music.
We had a Party of 10 Sunday for Lunch and I wanted to Thank the Staff at Bistro Orleans we had a Great Time !!! Great Food !! Thanks so very much . Wallace
Just left there about an hour ago. Terrible service. Took over an hour to get our food. We saw people leave because they couldn’t get their order. I hope it’s because they were understaffed. If not they won’t be there for long
