The BBQ shrimp is one of the best in the city, order extra bread cause you will fight over the sauce. It can get kinda loud and busy, but nothing a stiff drink cant solve.
Staff was excellent! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt service. Food was delicious and came out quick! Beer was cold and happy hour prices were good. Portions were very generous! We had the crab cake app, roast beef debris side, corn maque choux special, and blacked redfish lafourche. Atmosphere is a sports fan dream! Plenty of TVs to catch all the games.
The blackened redfish dinner was excellent. The onion ring app was small but well cooked. Corn & crab soup was filled with crab & spicy, yum. The fried shrimp platter is huge enough to share. The blackened t bone is a toss up– the filet is tender but the strip is a bit tough. Their flavor was good though. The gumbo, it’s filled with seafood but the roux has an odd aftertaste. Not a typical gumbo flavor. Kid big cheesy burger is big. The side of fried shrimp is plenty for a kid who doesn’t eat a lot. This is a 4.5 rating for eats & our server. She was so great. Why did I give all this good stuff a poor rating? The manager Tim actually fussed at us for a set of flowers we had in the restaurant for a birthday. The rude & condescending verbal attack was completely uncalled for & beyond upsetting. This ruined us for ever returning here.
Service and food were awesome. Sat at the bar for lunch and had the crawfish etouffe and was not disappointed. As a southern Louisiana native I was wary, but after the first bite, I was pleasantly surprised. Gabrielle, the bartender, was very nice and talkative, will be coming back!
Food and service were good, although it seemed pricey for what it was. The crab cakes were delicious, topped with crawfish and a mushroom sauce – yum!! My friend got a seafood pasta that he said was good, but not worth $18.
You can find better food for less (and larger servings) at many other places. Parking is very limited and cars must drive within feet of the front doors to maneuver between the two aisles. There is parking available next door whenever that business is closed, but you must climb over a 2ft (approx.) wall to get to the restaurant, unless you walk out to the street then back. Naturally, its a sports themed eatery and gets very loud. Server did a nice job, she was best part of the experience. Lots of patrons there were snorting. Sounds strange, but its true. Not sure why.Do not foresee me eating there ever again.
Great food! We’ve eaten here twice in the last month, while visiting the area from Mobile. The Hebert Fries, BBQ Shrimp and Red Beans and Rice are spectacular. I can’t understand the poor reviews from this site, unless these are postings by competitors who are losing business. Bobby Herbert’s beats almost anything else in the area on flavor, price and service.
