I’ve been eating here for 11 years and I love it today as much if not more than the first time! Always consistent! Super fast…The food comes out in about 10 mins after you order!! The staff is friendly and most importantly the food and margaritas are delicious!! True authentic Mexican way better than all the tex mex places around here.
This used to be one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I returned last night and noticed how it’s grown and got excited. I thought maybe I’ll be back more often. But after being served the Steak, Shrimp, and Chicken Fajita plate I changed my mind. I’m used to be served a HOT sizzling plate with any fajita but it looked like it was just grilled and sitting around in the grill waiting to be served. Not even a tale tale sign of smoke…the steak looked dry not moist after being freshly grilled. The quac was good, the cheese reminds me of a cheese I buy at my local grocer. IDK just not what I expected for my Friday night out…and afraid of the disappointment when I friend comes in town and asks to eat here when I tell her it’s changed. I won’t be returning ESP since my husband had decided long ago he didn’t like it… AND I PERSUADED him to return tonight. Embarrassed.
I love rellenos, but this one was just okay.. I am a huge fan of chile rellenos. I will order a relleno any time I can. This one didn’t have a lot of flavor. Oh well. Waitress was nice. Salsa served with chips was very mild also. I asked if there was an option for a spicier salsa. Waitress said yes and brought out what seemed to be the same salsa with several tablespoons of black pepper in it.
Disgusting! Last night I went to Carreta’s for the first and last time. The salsa was salty and runny. The chili relleno was inedible. The breading was thick, tasteless, and soggy. The cheese was thin, runny, bland, and probably came out of a five-gallon plastic bucket. I had four small bites of the chili relleno and then asked for the check. The atmosphere in the restaurant is dreary. The tables and the floor looked like they needed cleaning. I don’t understand how this place stays in business. I’d rather eat cardboard for dinner.
Tacos, Yay!. Best crunchy beef taco in the city! A la carte is the way to go!
Didn’t like, guacamole looked old and didn’t taste fresh, food was bland and the taco fell apart before I could eat it because the shell was so soggy, Bloody Mary could have been better, all in all, it’s someplace I wouldn’t go back to, bright side, server was very nice
The food was awesome, drinks was delicious & the wait staff was very friendly. If you like Mexican good this is a place to try.
