Cyrus In New Orleans, a city of foodies, opening a new restaurant is not for the faint of heart. Cyrus, with Persian cuisine, is a welcome addition to our famous culinary melange. We went for dinner and had the charbroiled lamb chops (6 - flavorful, juicy and just plain delicious) with a nice assortment of fresh veggies grilled to perfection and fluffy aromatic saffron rice (really nice). We also ordered the veggie plate of hummus (flat it lacks the garlic and lemon of its Mediterranean counterpart but this can be added upon request), a garlicky eggplant medley (nice and different) and white rice. After the pleasant dessert, the aromatic hot tea with cardamon and fresh mint was outstanding. In conclusion, if you enjoy mouthwatering, charbroiled meats and fresh grilled veggies, this is definitely the place to go. We recommend it.
