Best of the Danny & Clyde’s. This one opened 15 years ago and the quality isn’t what it was then, but it’s still very good. All food is cooked to order and there are touch screens that make ordering very simple. Very little possibility for error. The wait can be moderate (5 minutes) during peak lunch hour, but most of the time, you get your food shortly after ordering. They have the frier and grill on 24-7. What’s not to like there? The shrimp poboy is a real winner and I’d measure it against any where. They use the small shrimp, but they are so flavorful. The roast beef isn’t very good, but that’s the only thing I wouldn’t recommend. For breakfast, the egg poboy is excellent. You get 6 eggs scrambled on a poboy for $2! They used to sell Grand Isle shrimp on the weekends for cheap, but they gave that up a year or two ago.
