Left hungry. I love sushi and the reviews on this place were amazing. When we entered, they obviously weren’t running the AC, and it was uncomfortably muggy. The service was good, except my roll took foreverrrrrrr to come out. The restaurant is small and kind of humble, which doesn’t matter if you’re eating amazing sushi. And the sushi was good, but after my $2.50 soup and $12 roll (husband’s roll was $15), we both left hungry. Like, really hungry. The guys next to us ordered three rolls each–which I can’t really afford to do!–and that was a good amount of food, because they finished it all. Obviously one roll wasn’t enough. I will not be returning.

Best Sushi Lunch Special Imaginable.. Pros: Good quality. Best Sushi lunch special imaginable. Cons: Sports on TV at bar. Kinda wet wasabi. Pre-packaged (not warm) wet towelettes.

Excellent. Found this place because of a coworker and I must say it is my favorite sushi place. Hidden treasure.

One of my top 3 places in the GNO, and I’ve tried most of ’em. Delicious, fresh cuts of sashimi. Beautiful rolls. Even the frozen chocolate things they bring you with the bill will knock your socks off. Elvis is a top tier sushi chef! The place is a little small, but I’d prefer to call it intimate. Friendly service tops off a great dining experience.

Best Sushi!!. By far the best sushi I’ve had in New Orleans. It’s hidden and that’s probably one of the things that keeps it low-key and delicious, despite the number of people that love it! The staff is really awesome, and we just about loved every single thing we had. The dumplings were delicious, the calamari was yummy, and none of the sushi had a fishy taste at all (even the eel, which I usually avoid). SO glad we found this place!! We’ll continue to give them our business!

Best. Sushi. Ever.. The best sushi I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot. One of my Top 5 favorite restaurants, anywhere. I highly recommend the marinated albacore, softshell crawfish hand roll, lobster dynamite roll, Elvis roll, ama-ebi (sweet prawns) with fried heads, aji (horse mackerel) with fried bones, spicy softshell miso soup, yellowtail roll/sashimi… the list goes on. And as others have stated, be sure to get your cocoa-dusted dessert chocolates, which are like cold, melt-in-your-mouth, mini block-shaped Hershey’s Kisses.
