Taco Tuesday is pretty good deal….food is good not great…but for $5 very filling…cool vibe on Tuesday. Wait staff is good and helpful with menu items… nice outdoor patio.
One of the better Tex Mex options in the New Orleans area. Tacos were very flavorful! I had carne asada (add pico) grilled chicken (add sour cream and cheese) and shredded beef (onions and cilantro). Not a bad one in the bunch. I also ordered the alote. The parmesan cheese is a really cheap way to go here. Next time I will request to leave it off and add queso fresco. The chips, salsa, rice and beans were all very average. Salsa has a good flavor, but not even a little spicy.
The food and the service is great! Also priced well. We live in the city and dont typically find any reason to drive to Metairie but when we want Mexican we find going to Los Jefes worth it. Only downside is very little parking and unlike in the city, theres no street parking. But again, worth the hassle.
I had to run an errand at Lowes and on the way home, stopped in Fat City to give this a try Just down the road from Drago’s.This place is GOOD!I happened to hit on bottomless margarita Wednesday.I got mine with a splash of OJ, and they are great.Tortillas are home made, good little white ones with my vegetarian fajitas.Veg fajitas were plentiful, but could be more seasoned in my opinion. I may ask next time for some hotter chiles, and more mushrooms and onions. They had spinach which was good, and yellow squash and zucchini cut into rounds.I’d suggest the squashes be cut into at least half moons. The wait staff is VERY attentive and friendly. Never a problem to get more chips or drinksWish they had wifi.I think their food means more traditional MX than Tex-mex, and everything I saw come out looked great,I will be coming here again, great atmosphere, great edit staff, drinks well made (even bottomless house margaritas). Just ask for a splash of OJ Next time I plan to try the chile relleno, which is my usual MX restaurant litmus test.I’d say, give this place a try. So far, I’m rating it as a new hidden gem in Fat City.
We recently went for Taco Tuesday 5 tacos for $5. This was our 2nd time coming here and had great service both times but this time really stuck out. Our waitress name was Loany and she was absolutely wonderful!! I can’t praise her enough for her vibrant personality and excellent service. She constantly checked on us, refilling chips, drinks, whatever we needed. The food was as delicious as before. Everything just tastes so fresh. I look forward to returning soon. Yummm!
Yummy!! The food is really good,I wish the queso had more kick, but it was still good. The fish crackling was great! The margaritas were really good and pretty strong. The prices/portions are really good. We will definitely be back
This was on our list to try. Today we finally decided to go and we are glad we did. We ordered the fajitas trio for 2 people. It was HUGE!!!!! The corn tortillas are homemade and delicious. We also ordered the flautas. Cheap and delicious. We will be back!!
