Out on the Town. My husband had a muffaletta from Nor-Joe’s for lunch at work one day and brought home the other half. I normally dont like muffaletta’s but had been on a diet and wanted something different so I tried a small piece…OMG! It was so good. My husband said why are you eating it cold heat it up so I did and who knew it could get better! Thank goodness he does not bring them home too often because they are NOT on my diet!

By far the WORST sandwich I and my family have ever had. It had hard tough to chew salami on it and it was dripping w/oil from the olive salad. This does not compare even remotely to Central Grocery Store’s muffaletta. Don’t waste your money.

Delish. I always forget about this place, but it’s really probably the second best muf around.

For Muffs and Memories. Back in the day, there were two places for fine imported meats, cheese, olives and whatnot. Martin’s and Nor Joe. Then Whole Foods came to town and St James, which makes Nor Joe almost irrelevant. They have a nice selection of Italian goods (like San Marzano tomatos ) and they buy herbs and other stuff in bulk and repackage it. But they are not the place for cheese anymore. But they remain the place in that part of town for Muffs — with a beautiful chunky outstanding olive salad and quality meats.

Great selection of specialty Italian dry goods and frozen items. Best hot muffy in town.
