I had not been to PF Chang’s in some time so when a friend and I decided to go I was very excited, but boy have things changed! Not only is their menu much smaller, but so are the portions, quality and service, but not the price! We ordered the lettuce wraps to start and they were just okay not much flavor and they no longer offer you the option to mix the sauce at your table which was always a fun part of have the lettuce wraps. My friend ordered a shrimp dish and I ordered the beef with broccoli, you would think that would be safe? The shrimp was heavily breaded but my friend seemed to like hers even though she said it did not have much taste. They put one bowl of room temperature rice in the middle of the table for us to share, it had been sitting for a while so it was clumped together, my beef with broccoli was far less than what I had expected. It was barely warm and looked like it had been sitting under heat lamps there was no sauce on the meet and had very little flavor. The broccoli was actually kind of gross, basically steamed with no seasoning however it did taste of what I can only explain as a lemon pine-sol kind of taste… I dont know what happened to PF Chang’s in Metairie, but I hope this is not how all of their restaurants are because I would like to try them again but will not go back to the Metairie location.
I ordered this sweet n sour meal and added crab wonton order to it. Before taxes it’s a $10.95 lunch. When I received it, the veggies were not sauted. Raw onions and bell peppers. 7 pcs of chicken. Lots of white rice. Wontons were placed in same container with meal leaving them soggy. I called. Manager replaced my order and specified the wontons would be in separate container to prevent soggy. Well as seen in pictures they did same mistake then put condiments in the wonton container. Last time I eat here. Last few times have been not good. A shame because this used to be my top place to eat. Metairie location kick it back up.
