Very spacious dining areas, with several rooms, and multiple restrooms. I love this location! As for the food, I had the roast beef po-boy and a cup of red beans and rice. The beans were very bland at first, and I thought I wouldn’t finish them. But the more I ate, it was almost like an addiction. By the time the cup was empty, I was scraping the sides! Good stuff there. The po-boy had a fair amount of meat on it, and some invisible gravy (I didn’t SEE the gravy, but it came pouring out on my hands when I ate!) I think I’ve had much better and bigger roast beef po-boys, and while this one was very good, it doesn’t stand out in the crowd. This looks like a great place to bring a large crowd or party of people, for some good food.
Nothing to make a special trip to Kenner for. It’s sort of like Come Back Inn but with none of the charm. The oyster and shrimp poboys are very good.
Best poboy I’ve had in a while and I’m live here. First time here but won’t be my last. Prices very practical for my family to afford. Thank y’all for your lunch special prices.
It’s not as they say, too many other good po-boys in town. Bread is terrible, meats etc are OK but not stuffed, dressing poor. It is just not up to the standards of other restaurants. Poor service, not really comfortable. Just a bad experience
I had a cup of red beans and rice. Nothing special, actually had a slight scorched taste. Had a hot ham and American cheese po-boy. Nothing special about it either. I don’t see where all the great reviews come from. I don’t think I would make a special trip to eat there.
I have heard about Parran’s for years if not decades, but never had the chance to eat there until today. Our party had three guests and we dined around 5pm. We ordered quickly and got our food in good time. The two poboys came out first, followed by the fish plate. While the food was prepared as expected, the portions were slightly less than we are used to. The bread was fresh, but the roast beef and hot sausage sandwiches did not stand out. The catfish platter was a little better… with no fishy aftertaste. I can’t say anything bad about the experience other than I don’t see what the hype is about. Definitely not in my top 10 list of poboy shops… but if you need a sandwich in a pinch… check them out. Don’t forget to like my review!
Bland. Ordered a half shrimp/half oyster po boy. The oysters were under cooked and neither they nor the shrimp tasted like they had been seasoned at all (unheard of in this part of the country). Most disappointing po boy I’ve ever had in NOLA.
