Lebanese Lunch. Bad experience. Ok food, poor service, clueless on cocktails.
Let’s be honest. I don’t know where other reviewers ate before but if they rated this place high, they were HIGH. As a chef I look for an experience in a resturant. I took it as a bad sign when I was the only customer for lunch. And I was not wrong. Food is nothing special. They were out of meat pie appetizer so went with spinach/cheese pie, blah! Pita was pita, hummus was basic hummus, and what makes this kind of food all come together are the sauces and these were bland or non existent. Gyro meat plate was a miss and very fatty. Chicken sharwma was grilled chicken. Heh, I can do that at home! There are different ways to make ME foods and I’ve had some that enlighten the senses, this place is not one of them.
Perfect. Yes the time id long but to cook that stuff it will take a while but what I love is the pita bread and the beef shawarma
Food was ok but need while. I come Sunday with my friends ….waiting food was very long time , more than 40 minute …we don’t wanna come back again .
More Bang for your BUCK here!!!!!. I ordered take out Gyro platter with rice and salad for only 10.99,and portion size was Huge, I had leftovers. Gyro meat is seasoned very good. In the heart of Metairie same shopping center as Houstons and Chili’s.

Good, but veggie grapeleaves are NASTY!!!!!! out of a can like what you get from the salad bar at Rouses. I went here twice. First time ordered the meat grapeleaves which were good. second time ordered the veggie grapes leaves and instantly spit it out! Nasty, mushy, flavorless grapes leaves, obviously came out of a can. I was so disappointed. I miss Albashas. they were a little more expensive, but at least they didnt serve me canned food.31 Aug, 2014Good, but DO NOT ORDER THE GRAPE LEAVES. They are the nasty smushy canned grape leaves you can buy at Rouses. I cant believe they actually serve them to customers like that.after albasha closed I was looking for a new place to get my shawarma fix. went here 2 times. The first time I got the chicken shawarma with humus, grilled veggies. The veggies were to greasy but everything else was good. The second time I got the combo chick/gyro plate but got rice instead of grilled veggies and also got and order of grape leaves. It was all good except the grapes leaves were nasty out of a can. I was so disappointed. I almost wanted to drive it back and ask for my money, but didnt feel like fighting traffic
