The roast beef poorboy is absolutely awesome. You gotta go here!! Cute little market and restaurant with fantastic food. Sits in a quaint neighborhood, order at the counter, casual and personable.
More a deli/market than restaurant, the food is good. Order at the deli, they bring it out. Drinks are self serve out of the cooler units. Po-boys are big, dressed huge, and tasty. Roast beef is amazing. Glad it’s not on my neighborhood, I would be overweight and never cook
A Gem of a Neighborhood Po-Boy Shop. This old Metairie spot is cranking out some serious po-boys, and their roast beef is terrific for one with sliced meat and un-toasted bread. The meat is well-seasoned, and has a bit of vinegary bite, but overall it’s one of the most Solid in the city. Love the part general store/liquor store simple dining vibe!
Go to radosta’s. Best shrimp po’boy I’ve ever had. I can’t imagine finding anything better. The roast beef was a knock out as well. Great, local atmosphere. Awesome, friendly service. My favorite place in New Orleans thus far!
Virgin Trip. They were recommended as being very good. I started to get a sandwich but decided to get the daily special (Red Beans with Smoked Sausage and Garlic Bread). It was better than I expected. I’m a big guy and I was FULL after eating. You get a salad with it and the Italian Dressing is the best that I’ve ever had (and I’ve had it at many places). Well worth the trip (for me about 30 miles). I’ll definitely go back. Prices were very reasonable, too. Very friendly staff willing to do anything to make your meal as good as it can be.
