who doesn’t like a family owned Italian restaurant where the clientele is dying to be Italian! Philip owner/chef is a super guy that tries hard to make you feel comfortable and prepare a good Italian meal. Bar area for seating is just as nice as the rest of the white table clothed restaurant, not a bad seat in the house. red sauce could be as good as anywhere in NO and the Alfredo is thick and richer than anyone in the place. love these type of spots. have seen three generations of the owners in there. pretty picky about my nights and restaurants but this one can swing tues-sat. one of my favorite tricks is stopping in on way home from airport. it will realign your back!. just do it

Only eat the bread. Service was horrible and the food was too. Looking for a full menu and was given a Christmas menu that was At $60 a person. Consisted of appetizer main course and dessert.Asked the server to sub out certain items he came back and said that this was the menu and there would be no subs for the night.Really bad experience with not ever give recommendation to any friends or family.

I have driven by this restaurant several times while staying in Metairie area for work and decided to try it tonight. Service was exceptional. Overall it was a good experience. The Caesar salad was good but did not have anchovies as listed in the description and wasn’t very big. It could have used crushed black pepper to give it more flavor. The homemade crouton (only one) was very good and spicy. It is not worth $7.95 in my opinion. I wish I had ordered the spinach artichoke soup. For the main meal I had Vitello (veal) Sorrentina. It was good but I couldn’t really taste the egg plant or prosciutto as it was overwhelmed by the heavy red sauce. Its a large portion and easily could have fed 2 people. The complementary bread was good and served with real butter. I finished with decaf coffee which surprisingly was some of the best coffee I’ve had in quite awhile. It was a pleasant meal in a relaxing formal atmosphere and I will go back. I will order the spedini pollo or the pollo Marsala next time.
