Consistently Awesome. We try to visit a couple of times a year. Food and service is consistently great. There are not too many places where you can get a prime cut filet and have it cooked to perfection. Our table ordered one med/rare and the other well done and both could not have been more spot on. I have never had better lamb chops anywhere, ever! French Onion Soup is not on the menu but is available if you ask. Reservations are a must as it is always crowded. Service is above average. The place can get a little loud with all the chatter going on but not offensive. Sides are large enough for 2. Be prepared to pad your wallet before you go. If its a special event they typically bring you a free dessert item with a candle. The Metairie location seems to be better and they offer free valet.

We made a 7:15 reservation, arrived at 7:05, only to be told that we wouldn’t be seated until 7:30. People were arriving after us, saying they had a reservation and were immediately seated ( same number of diners too). For such a reputable restaurant this is utterly disappointing. We usually go to the Ruth’s downtown & NEVER have this issue. We won’t be coming back again.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House. The prices were reasonable, and I thought I cooked a fantastic steak, but this was the best steak I’ve ever had. The coffee was fantastic, the dessert was a little disappointing, but the overall experience was great, including our very attentive waitress.
