Having been to many Indian restaurants in the US, I feel qualified to say the food at Shayan’s is below average. Like the earlier review.. I would have given the restaurant a 1.5 except the waiter was extremely attentive. The mango lassi was rather good. There are better options in the greater New Orleans area.

Would have given a 1 but a 2 because the host is quite friendly. We had high expectations from this place but turned out to be extremely disappointing. We ordered the Lamb Biriyani which was nothing like how Biriyani should be. It felt Spicy Lamb Curry was just mixed with coloured rice. Also tried the Lamb Tikka Masala.. extremely watery and mutton had no flavour. Seemed like the lamb pieces were dropped into the multi purpose gravy when we ordered it.Other than the food, place is small but big enough and the host is friendly.
This place serves darn good goat. The owner is always here and does a great job taking care of patrons. My wife and I are always pleased with the food.
