Great fast delicious n renovated now.. A lot of the reviews about the atmosphere are way off bc this is like a mom n pop type place n actually has recently been renovated April 2015 n is bigger now, so I would encourage people to check it out. The food is great n its a buffet. You walk in make ur plate n eat. The butter chicken n alo gobi r my favorites. Please, if u like Indian food, this is the place to go in Metairie on Clearly. Esp. If ur trying to take a 30 minute lunch n get full n happy. 🙂

Horrible food.. The most horrible place for indian food. Very unhygienic.

Worst Indian Food Ever!. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken. It was foul! I couldn’t eat more than 2 bites. The texture was rubbery. There was no nice caramelized crust that comes from a long slow roast in the tandoori oven. It was more like they slapped the chicken pieces in a pan and tossed it into a regular oven for 30 minutes. Also, it clearly hadn’t been marinated as the flesh of the chicken didn’t have that delightful tenderized texture that a good 24 hour yogurt marinade will bring out.I sent the chicken back and just ordered some dhal, which was edible, but way over the top with spices. I’m not complaining about heat here. I love spicy hot food. Instead, it seemed like they’d dumped half a container of garam masala into the beans, and then didn’t let it cook long enough for the spice to settle in. There was literally a feel of powder on my tongue. The best thing I can say for this place is that they didn’t charge me for that plate of nasty chicken. Never again. From now on it’s Nirvana on Magazine or nothin’ when it comes to Indian food.

Delicious buffet. Had ordered lunch take out and was so impressed with the food, I decided to try the dinner buffet and it was delicious. A good variety to choose from and service was friendly. It’s all about the food here and that’s fine with me.

Best indian food in towns.. The food is always great and varies slightly in flavor, what is served depending of who is cooking that day (husband or wife). The intire building strip is run down due to poor up keep by the land lord and they could really use a new location. Despite the building the food is the best Indian food in the city so I’m willing to over look the small faults Tandori has and make it a regular in my dining. The buffet is solid, I believe a good price for the quality with the night buffet for 5 dollars more on Friday, Saturday also including fish marsala, and lamb curry to the line up.
