Unfortunate Blunder, but GREAT Tea. I too was a groupon customer who ordered my tea and waited months for it. However, FIRST I would like to say how AMAZING this tea is. I ordered a few variety of greens and they are fragrant, fresh, and oh so flavorful. Regarding the time I spent in limbo, wondering if my order had been lost in the mail, if I had been duped, etc…I spoke with the owner and was very saddened to hear about a death in the family. I myself lost my dad a few years ago and know that trying to handle that and still attend to everyday responsibilities is quite a task. However, I do think that the owner should know that all people really want is some communication. They had the email addresses of the customers who had ordered, and it would have not taken too long to write an email with a simple explanation saying that they are very sorry for the inconvenience but due to extenuating circumstances, the tea is on backorder and they are doing everything they can to get it to their customers as quickly as possible, yadda yadda yadda.Bottom line, THE TEA IS WORTH IT, and I hope this has taught them a lesson and that they can take take a little constructive criticism.
Worth waiting for. I, too, was a little annoyed to wait a long time to get my tea. I tempered that annoyance with knowing that Groupon often proves to be a bad deal for small businesses…but I still got cranky and then just decided that i would never get my tea.Well…i am VERY HAPPY to say my tea arrived this week and it was worth wating for. Holy Moly. I had my lavendar earl grey this morning and just wanted to jump in the tea pot and bathe in the goodness. Thanks Urban Cup…I will be ordering more. I hope you profit from Groupon in the end. I LOVE YOUR TEA!

But never take the time to write a good review for the good service. I think everyone needs to hear the truth.First of all Groupon ran us on side deals all over the us from New York to California during a time when we were out, not counting a personal tragedy. Groupon promised to alert our customers but that was never done. once behind your always behind, this is a two person operation. Not counting the fact that groupon users were given 25.00 worth of tea for 10.00, of the 10.00 we receive 7.00 in 3 installments over a 6 month period. Groupon wanted us to not charge shipping in which i charge 6.00 and pay 9.00-13.00. If we need to have a few bad reviews for the thousands of orders we place (losing money) 100-150 every other day. Order with caution!. I placed an online order over 2 months ago and have yet to receive it. I get excuse after excuse. I really wanted to support a small business. Most recently I was told that I’d have to refuse my order (which I can’t seem to receive) BEFORE I can get a refund. What a horrible expereince. Certainly Buyer Beware!
