GREAT food! Don’t plan on being productive afterwards though- huge servings! This is real southern food in a hole-in-the-wall type joint. Nothing fancy, just darn good. Staff is super friendly, but when they get busy, they don’t have much time to talk. Wait is never long. My favs: fried chicken, hamburger steak, BBQ ribs, and chicken and dumplings. Do yourself a favor and go!

Im from Dallas and looked this place up. The reviews were so misleading. Food wasnt horrible but wasn’t enjoyable either… Customer service needs training a few more weeks… If you’re from out of town, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE… its quite insulting!!!!!
THE best in soul food!. I have eaten at Big Momma’s numerous times, and I have NEVER been disappointed over the years! Each Fri she serves the most tender ribs ever, and each day has a lunch buffet of foods that makes me salivate just thinking of it! If you have not had the chance to delight in Big Momma’s fine foods (and they ARE fine!), you need to treat yourself. I’ve also ordered carry-out for when I’m in a hurry. Enjoy!
