Sunday Brunch Buffet. We went for brunch both of the last two Sundays. The 1st was just the 2 of us; the 2nd was with 3 others. Both were disappointing. Why did we go back? For the copious boiled shrimp, the carving table with prime rib, Cajun fried turkey, and baked ham, and the delicious fried fish. We also liked the desserts, especially the beignet bread pudding last week. Our server was wonderful last week – awful this. We arrived right at 9 this week to beat the rush, and, hopefully, to get hot food. They were totally unprepared for customers today. It took 20 minutes to get coffee and water! Our waitress was so slow coming to our table that we had already gone to the buffet and almost finished our 1st plates when she took our drink orders. It was almost comical waiting for her – we’d start to get up, see someone coming to our table, sit back down, only to see them go another direction. We did this 4-5 times before we gave up and went to serve ourselves. There weren’t many other customers, and we could not understand why almost 10 employees were standing around the front and no one was helping her. Once again, the food was lukewarm, at best. I love the cheese grits, but these were cold, as were the scrambled eggs. My husband went back to the omelet table 4 times before they finally had hollandaise sauce – almost an hour after we started. We were disappointed and embarrassed that we had recommended this for a special Mother’s Day breakfast. We won’t be back.
Ruined Anniversary Meal. We went for our 17th wedding anniversary. This is the first bad experience I have ever had at a Copeland’s and it will be quite sometime before I will consider this place again. We arrived early to beat the crowds. Our waiter had to stop, and speak everytime he passed our table, interrupting our conversations. He passed by quite often. I ordered a lemonade which is made at the bar and is usually very good as it is made from real lemons. Tonight however it tasted funny to me. I asked my wife to check it and simply smelling it she confirmed what I thought, there was a definite taste of alcohol. Since I have issues with my stomach and cannot consume even a small amount alcohol. This was a very big issue to me. When I reported this to our waiter he apologized in a very insincerely manner and brought a water to replace it. The manager also denied that there was anything out of the ordinary with the lemonade and again a very insincere apology. If it issue was not in the lemonade, then that means the bartender is serving drinks from used glasses without washing them. Either way, the service was bad on a very special day for us. Future special occasions will NOT be celebrated here!
Perfect Sunday brunch with Mimosas!!. Elaborate spread for Sunday brunch, everything you’d expect and then some. Great quality food, fantastic selection. Experienced chefs creating personalized omelettes.Very nice experience. You cannot order Bloody Mary’s until after 12 noon, but there they are, at the top of the Sunday brunch menu- right along with the Mimosas, which you CAN order at 10 a.m.!!!
Dining on the go!. Picked up two of the grilled chicken salads and a dozen of the chocolate covered strawberries…made Valentines dinner great!
Great service! Delicious Food!. My wife and I took a couple friends there this past weekend. The staff provided us with friendly, professional service and presented themselves with neat, pressed uniforms. Enjoyable experience and will be going back!
Mike and Janice Pierot. We love eating at Copeland’s. Food and service A+
Date Night. We went to Copeland’s and ordered the rib eye and chicken parmesan. As usually it was great. the steak is always tender, and cooked correctly. The cheese cake afterward was great.
