Authentic as it gets!. I’ve eaten at Don Tomas several times and have never been disappointed! The food is so authentic, that it should be served with a green card. Plus, the staff is very friendly. El Chico’s, Chili Verde, these pale in comparison to Don Tomas.

I absolutely love this place! I like sitting tucked away in the bar. Everything we have ever had has been great. It’s a nice break from other crowded local places.

It’s awesome, best flavor, great staff. Order the cow tongue taco. Just do it.

Inexpensive and great. Inexpensive, fresh and delicious. This is what mexican food should be. We stop in about once per week. Their enchiladas are not pre-made frozen in zip-locs like some of the other places. The rice and beans are always great. The only thing that isn’t that good would be the chips, as they are not as good as El Azteca’s chips.

Best Tacos in Town. These tacos are great! Try the braised beef or the carnitas. Also the Charro Bean soup is mighty tasty.

Good late night. I’ve been to Don Tomas a couple of times, once during lunch hours and once late night. I ordered the three enchilada meal on both occasions. The enchiladas, rice, and beans were all good. Not the best I’ve eaten, but good. The service was nice as it’s kind of a walk up and place your order at the counter. The major perk about this place is that it is open well into the A.M. on the weekends. It’s also in walking distance of the bars in the garden district so it makes for great drunk food.
