We bought 3 pies in Monroe on Thursday for $60+tax on the way back home to Baton Rouge. I got the chocolate meringue pie and it is so-so. Meringue and crust are fine but the chocolate filling reminds me of Jello pudding, not very rich or chocolate tasting. I have had better elsewhere or homemade.My friend took the pecan pie and the coconut meringue pie. He says coconut was very good and the pecan pie has been frozen for Thanksgiving.

Definite NO.. I’ve tried to like this place because I have friends who meet there regularly for coffee but am unable to find any reason to return, not even for coffee. Their breakfast is overpriced and not palatable. A friend recently became ill after eating bad bacon from there. I’ve been for lunch and, try as I may, found their lunches and even their pies barely above that of a frozen dinner.
