Newk’s is, by far, the best establishment to get a salad. The ingredients are always extremely fresh and they are always willing to accommodate to picky orders. My personal favorite is their Caesar salad with steak and I add cucumbers! Fabulous staff, as well!
Great for lunch. The Newk’s Q and Caesar salad lunch combo is fabulous. The staff are friendly, too.
Take It – or – Leave It. I could go either way. I do have to say, for what you get (especially with regards to the sandwich size and items between the bread) you are not getting your money’s worth. Deff. overpriced for what it is. If you are going in with the mentality of Panera, you are going to be disappointed. I do not often enjoy/like/recommend chains, but Panera is one that has earned my respect. The soups are good, but again overpriced. The pizza is not REAL Italian Pizza, but it is not bad, I like to think of it more like a bruschetta on ‘attempted’ pizza crust. And although some of the sandwiches are delicious and are superior to others, you just do not feel like you got your money’s worth when you finish it in 6 bites.It not bad, its not good. If you are just looking for something to fill your stomach or maybe have a ‘healthy’ salad (if you are careful with what you order) then go here. Its alright for office lunches, IF YOU CAN FIND A PLACE TO SIT.
A good sandwich, salad and soup. This place is what is says it is: a cafe. But, with very good soups and creative sandwiches served hot on tasty, toasted bread.Not expensive and service is good for Monroe.
It’s all about the HONEY MUSTARD!! What an explosion of flavor! Great paired with the Southern(chicken salad) Salad.
Soup and sandwich. We tend to eat lunch and dinner a bit later than most people, and we’ve found that Newk’s is a great option. We enjoy the tomato basil soup and either the Q or the club sandwich. During peak hours, the cafe is hectic; during off hours it’s a delight. Recommended.
My husband and I have been going to Newks since they opened last year. Everything was great when they opened! Salads were fresh, sandwiches and soups were hot. We try to go at least once a week, but it seems like the food is getting worse. I always get a soup and salad. The last salad I received had more brown pieces of lettuce than not-which always makes me think it’s not fresh. The last soup I received was the chili;however, it was cold. Newks has changed since they opened in 2011. 🙁
