Do not go here!!! Very rude staff and fake catfish….. Do not go here!!! Very rude staff. They serve that fake Chinese catfish the crab cakes are frozen patties. The place had two eaten chicken bones laying in the middle of the floor. The young white guy with the tattoo was rude to someone with me. The loud mouth black girl was fussing with dinners. They messed up my order don’t know how but ordered 6 fish 6 oysters and the plate was full of fish no oysters. This is one of the most disrespectful places I’ve been to in years.
It was real good!!. Short review. Place was clean the staff was very friendly and the food was great. Ordered the 4 fish and 4 shrimp with dirty rice side and cole slaw, this also came with hush puppies. I am thinking 4 pieces of fish but it was 8 so 4 fish fillets cut in half and they were a very good size and so were the shrimp. I recommend this restaurant. We have bought party sizes of food for weddings and stuff you cannot go wrong.
Got a refund!! Nasty crab cakes that were frozen and then deep fried which left them soggy in the middle.Fish were chewy..poor kid at the counter was embarrassed..won’t be going back!!
Good, cheap Po’ Boy made out of fresh jumbo shrimp. Great place to grab lunch if you’re on the road and looking for something southern to eat!
Fabulous place to eat. My husband and I ate here yesterday. He was surprised at the amount of food we received. The only complaint I have about the flavor is lack of salt, however, I understand, not everyone can eat salt or likes salt. I added it myself. The service was friendly and excellent, the place is clean, quiet and the food was good. Prices are also fair for the amount of food you receive. We will stop in at Sam’s Southern Eatery off Well Road in West Monroe, again.
Somethings not right. Went there last week and the food just didn’t taste right and smelt funny so I couldn’t finish it and will not waste my money again there.
DELICIOUS. Today was my first time eating @ Sam’s. I didn’t think the fish would be big as they were. I got full off 1 piece & 2 sides. I’ma try my best 2 eat the rest before I go 2 bed..LOL If you haven’t eaten @ Sam’s, you are missing a real treat.
