Was here for the Saturday night of the Shrimp and Petroleum festival and decided to check out Morgan’s since I was told the food was good. Huge Letdown!! I ordered the Rajun Cajun plate because it had fried shrimp, fish, and oysters and also included a bowl of seafood gumbo. The gumbo was OK; nothing to drive out of your way for.The fried shrimp and fish and oysters, on the other hand got two thumbs down. Very bland, not in the least bit tasty.I’ve eaten fried seafood all over south Louisiana and this restaurant is one place I don’t plan on repatronizing. I took a good last look, or so I thought when I walked out, but there I was in Morgan’s the following morning for the breakfast buffet (I stayed at the Holiday Inn that night.) More of the same. Scrambled eggs?? Same blandness as the night before. Do these cooks not know how to season food? Be careful not to ask for milk when the waitress seats you. They’ll charge you $3.00 for it while maybe not informing you that it’s offered on the buffet at no extra cost. And finally, I wasn’t too happy about the fact that the salt shaker on my table was filled with SUGAR! It gave the scrambled eggs some flavor, but not in a good way!!This time when I walked out, I did take one long, last look.

Tonight was a special treat! Seafood & eggplant dish with their unmatched seafood gumbo on the Friday night buffet was off the chart. Don’t forget to add a little potato salad to the top of your gumbo while it’s still piping hot!
