LaMomma you must have been having a bad day that day. This place is what downtown needed. The staff is one of the most friendly staff around here. If your sandwiches are better at home then maybe you should make them yourself sweetheart. This place has an amazing clientele already. Stay home 🙂
Finally a place to eat that you can get consistently delicious and fresh food allll dayyy. We used to go just for sweets…now they serve homemade soups and sandwiches! All day! Coffee. ..hot chocolate. .. fresh brewed tea…anything sweet you can imagine. The ladies there make you feel like family. We eat there no less than 3 days a week and have not been less than impressed every time. You are missing out!
Perfectly Simple!!. I went two days in a row after stumbling upon this great place while visiting New Iberia. Great service! The soups/gumbo and cheesecakes are to die for. The sandwiches were very fresh and I will continue to frequent this place when in town. The chocolate chip cookies are a definite must as well. I am a food lover that often travels to New York, California, and New Orleans for their unique food experiences. I can happily say this is a wonderful blend of freshness and yummy deliciousness when just wanting a relaxing dependable flavor…..and a great sandwich! Simplicity is key 🙂
Meh.. Potato Soup was very good, homemade. Sandwich was just okay, I ordered the Club and was not impressed. Tasted like something I would make for the kids, don’t think they use real cheese, shredded lettuce was limp, club sandwich should be piled high but was only about as thick as your average ham and cheese. For sweets, I can sum it up pretty easily: Strawberry Cake is good, Macaroons are very good, Brownies are terribly dry, and Petite Fours don’t stack up to the competition (any competition). At least the soup was good. I will go back for the soup but only because there are few other options in New Iberia.
Dessert plus. Craving something sweet … they have a great selection of desserts, cakes, and cookies. They also offer homemade soups and sandwichs (breads to for). Service is good also …
