  9/1/16: Had the Beau Soleil burger today. I loved the toasted sourdough bun. It had a nice sweetness about it and a nice crust from toasting. But the patty wasnt nearly big enough to fit on the bun and you have to take several bites of bread just to get to meat, which in my opinion, is supposed to be the star of the meal. And again i didnt think it was seasoned well. One of us had the potato soup. We passed it around the table and we all agreed that again, bland and a little runny for a dish that should be thick and creamy. It had bacon in it and this is the first time I can say that even bacon didn’t make something better. I have serious doubts that the cook is tasting the food while cooking. The french fries i ordered were cooked perfectly and of all things to season, the fries actually boardered on over salted. I dont get it. The menu sounds and the food looks good when plated. Just not executed well. 8/28/16: This is a cute cafe in downtown New Iberia with a nice menu of sandwiches, burgers, and salads. The price point is nice and the list of Appetizers look interesting and I look forward to trying them in the future. There is also a Sunday brunch. I’ve been here twice. The customer service is great and the atmosphere is pleasant. I had brunch one day and lunch the other. But meals were plated nicely and looked great. For the most part they tasted good but just not completely wowwed. Seems to lack a little on the seasoning. I will try this place again because I really want to love it so I’ll have other dishes to see if it gets better and will update my review as I go along.
