My niece and I ended up at Deanie’s after my father had recommended Castnet. Unfortunately they were closed, but we were fortunate enough to end up here. We shared the BBQ shrimp special, which came with a half loaf of buttery toasted French bread along with a fresh salad. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. However; the highlight of the dinner was the very attentive and friendly staff. Jenny was our waitress, but the other servers were extremely helpful as well. We will definitely return.
There is a wait and ended up at the bar, but the Seafood and Okra Gumbo was worth it! The Pinkberry drink was excellent as well. The portions are huge, definitely try to share. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, we had a pleasant experience!

Best Place Ever. I grew up in New Orleans east and it is still my favorite place to eat. I have been going to Deanies on Haynes for over 30 years. I have Never had a bad dish or experience! Highly recommended to anyone looking for great food with good prices,
Workers are rude as heck. Especially one white girl that works at the bar. Totally not worth it. Bad food, terrible service, don’t waste your time.
