Small portion. The taste of the food at bbq west is excellant. however the portions sometimes are a bit disappointing. most of the time the portions are very good but i just finished a $10.40 beef and sausage plate and i’m still a bit hungary. also i noticed that the meat carver cut part of the sausage off of one sausage link and then changed to another link for the rest. i figured out why when i started eating. part of the sausage was nice and tender and the other parts were very tough skinned or over cooked. just a bit expensive to me for what you get.
Ribs. Awesome
We had the ribs and brisket combo. The ribs were a little tough but the flavor was very good. The brisket was tender with a nice smoke flavor. Both the baked beans and cole slaw were quite good and the Texas toast was outstanding. Overall a very good dining experience.
I’m glad everyone else had good things to say about this place, I’m a barbeque lover. I really loved the beans and sausage, but the Cole slaw was a little watery. Also, it’s a sad day when you need to add sauce to your brisket to get a smoky flavor. Great service
There is only one BBQ west located at 4900 Cypress St., Suite 9, West Monroe, 71291, (318)396-7455. The location mentioned on this page is no longer a BBQ west. BBQ west has been proven the Peoples Choice for the last 11 years.
Great BBQ restaurant. I must tell you this location has steak night in Thursday evening starting at 5pm. These steaks are big and awesome. You get choice of two sides with your steak.
The perfect lunch. Do I need to say more. I get it almost every Sunday. With a whole chicken you can’t go wrong.
